Yes, the 2014-15 high school season is still three months away.
But with so many talented high school programs in the CoBL coverage area–which, for now, covers Philadelphia, southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey, with some attention paid to Delaware, Harrisburg and Allentown sprinkled in–we couldn’t wait that long to start previewing the top high school teams in the area.
And this year, the CoBL staff has decided to get a little ambitious. For the 92 days between September 1 and December 1, we will be giving an overview of 92 different high school programs scattered around the area.
(Ed. Note: Okay, this was a little too ambitious. But we’ll still have a lot of high school previews out!)
That means we’ll be taking a look at schools in the Public League, Inter-Ac and Catholic Leagues of Philadelphia, as well as top teams in District 1, the Philly ‘burbs. We’ll have a few teams from Allentown and Harrisburg area sprinkled in with those from over the bridge in South Jersey and down in Delaware as well.
They’ll be coming out in random order, with the reveal coming at 9 AM each morning as the story goes live. As the high school season gets closer, we’ll also be taking looks at the race for league and state titles, as well as players to keep an eye on. And for those of you waiting on the college coverage, that starts the first day of college practices: October 3, 2014.
